Using our Community Battery as a smoothing battery replaces the capital outlay required to install and operate your own dedicated, smoothing battery as part of the solar installation process.

Solar smoothing is a simple service fee based on your solar inverter size
Charged at 37.3100 cents per kVa of solar inverter capacity, per day and charged monthly/bi-monthly (dependent on your billing cycle).

How to apply
Your solar installer will confirm your Solar Smoothing eligibility and charges as part of your solar installation costs - if available in your town. Opt in to this service must be submitted as part of the request to connect renewables application.
