Connect solar, battery and Electric Vehicles

Everything a solar installer needs to know to apply to connect a renewable energy system to the Horizon Power network.

Network stability is vital to deliver safe and reliable power to all communities

That's why our engineers assess the load impact on our network, by reviewing all renewable energy connections before installation.

This ensures compliance with our Technical Requirements.

Community Wave is our Virtual Power Plant (VPP)

Which helps customers get more value out of their solar and battery energy systems.

It connects their system to the local network, and balances the supply and demand of electricity across the whole community.

This means fewer outages and more access to solar energy for everyone.

All connections will be energy managed

We call this Smart Connect Solar & Battery
Connected via a Secure Gateway Device (SGD) to adjust solar energy generation during the day, when network stability is at risk.

In return, eligible Community Wave customers receive buyback rates for sending excess solar energy back to the network.

You will need to install a compatible inverter or battery, and the SGD (provided by us).
