$150 Household and Small Business Electricity Credit announced (2025)

On the 23 March 2025, the Commonwealth Government announced a one-off credit of $150 - to reduce electricity bills for eligible residential and small business customers. This is part of the 2025 - 2026 Federal Budget commitments to ease cost-of-living pressures.

On the 23 March 2025, the Commonwealth Government announced a one-off credit of $150 - to reduce electricity bills for eligible residential and small business customers.

The good news is you don’t need to apply! Any eligible customers will recieve their credit payment from 11 October 2025.

This is part of the 2025 - 2026 Federal Budget commitments to ease cost-of-living pressures.
